PREMIÈRE VICTOIRE D’ÉTAPE POUR RAVIL MAGANOV ET XTREMEPLUS POLARIS FACTORY TEAM !

1ère étape : Asuncion (Paraguay) – Resistencia (Argentine)
Liaison : 415 km – Spéciale : 39 km – Total : 454 km

Hier, fin d’après-midi, les cinq équipages Xtremeplus Polaris et le Toyota d’assistance rapide pilotée par Marco Piana sont passés sur le podium de départ et touché du doigt l’enthousiasme des Paraguayens pour ce Dakar qu’ils accueillent pour la première fois !

Lundi matin, le Dakar prend son véritable envol et les concurrents rallient le départ de la première spéciale un peu tendus de découvrir cette 39e édition de la course la plus dure au monde. ce secteur sélectif est court mais intense avec des pistes techniques et parfois trialisantes. À la sortie, c’est le jeune Russe Ravil Maganov (n°378 XT+), navigué par Kirill Shubin qui remporte la spéciale en catégorie SSV avec 30 secondes d’avance sur Vidal Cachafeiro et Santiago Navarro. Le Brésilien Leandro Torres et son compère Lourival Roldan n°351 se classent 4es mais sur la liaison, Leandro est quelque peu affecté par l’incroyable canicule qui s’est abattue sur la région du Chaco, une chaleur infernale de plus de 40° avec un très haut pourcentage d’humidité.
Suivent, en cinquième position, Li Dongsheng et Quanqian Guan n°374 tandis que Mao Rujin navigué par Sébastien Delaunay n°342 et le troisième équipage chinois XT+, Wang  Fujiang/Li Wei n°386, sont respectivement 7es et 8es.

PETIT RECTIFICATIF. Il n’y a pas 10 SSV engagés sur le Dakar 2017 mais seulement 8 car les deux Coronel, Tim et Tom, ont des buggies de plus de 1000cc. Cette erreur sera rectifiée par ASO sur les classements.

Mardi 3 janvier, les choses sérieuses commencent avec une étape de 800 km dont 275 km de spéciale pour arriver à San Miguel de Tucuman.

Yesterday evening, the five crews of Xtremeplus Polaris and the Toyota fast assistance driven by Marco Piana, went through the starting podium and felt the enthusiasm of Paraguayans that witness the Dakar in their soil for the very first time!

Monday morning, the Dakar takes off and competitors get out to race the first special stage of the 39th version of the hardest race in the world. This selective section was short, but intense with technical tracks that were even a bit like trial. At the end of it, the Young Russian Ravil Maganov (#378 XT+), navigated by Kirill Shubin, takes the stage victory in the SSV category, 30 seconds in front of Vidal Cachafeiro and Santiago Navarro. Brazilian driver Leandro Torres and his friend Lourival Roldan #351 take the 4th place, but in the liaison, Leandro was affected by the heat wave that hit the Chaco region with more than 40 degrees with high humidity.

After them, Li Dognshend and Quanqian Guan #374 arrived in the 5th position while Mao Rujin and Sebastien Delaunay #342 and the other Chinese XT+ crew composed by Wan Fujiang/Li Wei #386 took the 7th and 8th position, respectively.

Small correction: There are no 10 SSV on the Dakar 2017, but only 8. The two Coronel drivers, Tim and Tom, have buggies of more than 1,000 cc. This mistake will be corrected by ASO in the standings.

Tuesday, January 3 will be the begin of serious Racing with a stage of 800 km, which include a timed section of 275 km prior to arrive to San Miguel de Tucuman.
