This week, the preparation for the biggest and hardest cross country race in the world are finalized at the French port of Le Havre: Technical scrutineering took place under the cold rain, followed by the ship loading of all vehicles that will be transported to Argentina, across the Atlantic Ocean during the next three weeks!

This year, Xtremeplus Polaris Factory Team is the team that entered the most vehicles, all categories included: 5 RZR 1000XT +30 in SSV with three different nationalities, 1 Toyota in T2, 4 assistance trucks, 2 light assistance vehicles and a total of 32 people.

This year, ASO created the SSV category, and Polaris comes strong to defend the title they have obtained 5 times (5 Dakar victories in T3 Light).

In 2017, the competition will be hard. A Spanish team has registered three Yamaha SSV – non official.  The configuration of different terrains and the extreme temperature, between the Bolivian Altiplano and the heatwaves in Argentina, will make this race quite difficult. However, the Xtreme Polaris Factory Team is counting in their experience and the reliability of its RZR, their MAXXIS LIBERTY tires and the MOTUL products.
